but like lily evans is so important??? she was a muggle born who became a prefect in a time when voldemort came of power. dumbledore made her head girl, essentially the highest standing a student can have, at a time when blood prejudice was rampant. it must have been dangerous as hell - i wouldn’t be surprised if people like bellatrix harassed or even occasionally attacked her. and then, lily goes on to date a pureblood. even though he was a blood traitor, there was still some sentiment that people like him were just dirtying themselves by associating with people like her. and i bet you lily took it in stride. if someone brought it up, she’d be like, “if anything, he doesn’t deserve me,” and stalk off and james would just kinda nod like “yeah tbh it’s true”. and then, to top it all off, homegirl goes and joins an organization dedicated to fighting voldemort, as if her life isn’t already in danger at every moment. basically, lily evans was metal as fuck and deserves your respect
